The Great War

Between 1914 and 1918, 625,000 Canadians enlisted to go to war against Germany, 425,000 were shipped overseas, half of them were killed or wounded. In epic battles like Vimy Ridge, a nation was forged. In a four-hour epic, using drama and re-enactments combined with documentary and living history, THE GREAT WAR explores this important chapter in Canada’s history through the stories of those who fought and sacrificed their lives during the First World War.
